1000 Miles of Sebring

2019 sees the FIA WEC return to Sebring - the birthplace of American endurance racing!

Sebring International Raceway is America’s oldest road racing track, with over six decades of storied history. The legendary circuit evolved from Hendricks Field, a World War II airbase used to train B-17 combat crews. The concrete runways that still form a major part of the circuit are a real test for car and driver.

The 1000 Miles of Sebring takes place on Friday 15th March, starting at 3.55pm and running into the night. The IMSA Twelve Hours of Sebring then takes place on Saturday 16th March; with a morning start, this is going to be a weekend of endurance for race fans as much as it is for the drivers and teams!.

Our packages are ideal for anyone wanting a keenly priced visit to these amazing races, with a few more creature comforts than a campsite can afford.

We are again supporting Spirit of Daytona Racing, one of the leading teams in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship allowing you to be part of the group supporting this winning team and giving you unrivalled access to the racing action at Sebring. We offer accommodation at a keenly priced motel in Lake Wales. Ideal for those preferring a newly refurbished motel, we have rooms in the Lake Wales Budget Inn. Lake Wales is a 40 mile drive from Sebring along sparsely populated Florida highways. Accommodation is on a room only basis but there are myriad diners and restaurants along the roadside to the circuit.

All packages include rental car and Sebring 'Supertickets'. We offer flight-inclusive packages out of London Gatwick.

Our Twelve Hours of Sebring 'race fan' itinerary proposal is as follows -

  • Wednesday 13th March 2018 - Guests to make own way to the airport. Check in and fly to Orlando, collect rental car and drive to Sebring (100 mins drive) or Lake Wales (60 mins drive)
  • Thursday - a chance to familiarise yourselves with Sebring International Raceway and to catch practice and qualifying sessions. Take the opportunity to find all the amazing viewing areas around the circuit and choose where you plan to watch the start of the Twelve Hours of Sebring. Spend time wandering through the Paddock watching the teams prepare for the race.
  • Friday - enjoy practice, qualifying and support races at Sebring International Raceway. Then, at 3.55pm witness the start of the eagerly awaited FIA WEC 1000 mile of Sebring!
  • Saturday - Race day! With the race starting at 10.40am you want to be at the Raceway early on raceday. Make sure you get there in time for the open pitlane - an opportunity to get up close and personal with cars and drivers moments before the race starts, Racing continues through the day, finishing at 10.40pm. The winners presentations take place close to pitlane entrance - a great way to end your day!
  • Sunday 17th March - Activity day at your leisure before early evening flights back to the UK that arrive back in the UK on the morning of Monday 18th March.
