Entries for the 79th Le Mans 24 hours announced

As I’m sure you all saw the ACO announced the list of invited teams for this years Le Mans 24 hours, back on the 9th of February.

It’s good to see lots of familiar faces on the list, especially Rebellion Racing in LMP1 and RML in LMP2. Neel Jani sent us a tweet this week telling us how excited he is for the 2011 season with Rebellion so we’re hoping to catch up with him pit side for a quick chat in June.

Also very happy to see that RML have confirmed an unchanged driver-line up with Ben Collins joining Mike Newton and Tommy Erdos for the 2011 Le Mans Series.

We last caught up with them at Silverstone last September for the final round of the 2010 Le Mans Series. What a crazy day! We were given the opportunity to support the drivers in the paddock before the race while they were meeting fans, it’s a tough job but some one’s got to do it…

It was just after Ben Collins had ‘outed’ himself as The Stig in his autobiography. The queue of autograph hunters seemed to stretch the length of the paddock! It was such a great day and the RML team are always such a pleasure to work with. We hope to catch up with them again really soon.
