MotoGP at Le Mans

MotoGP at Le Mans brings the premier motorcycle racing World Championship to France and to the nearest circuit outside the UK. The world’s most skilled riders line a grid armed with cutting-edge motorcycle technology with prototype machinery from the leading manufacturers including Ducati, Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki.

The Le Mans circuit is a legend in its own right, which is why the Le Mans MotoGP is one of the most popular events on the calendar. The circuit is dominated by first gear corners that place the emphasis on late braking and hard acceleration, whilst rear end traction is also key.

Le Mans MotoGP weekend is action packed; as well as the premier MotoGP class there are also two ultra-competitive World Championship Grand Prix categories each with their own races; the 125cc and Moto2 (formerly 250cc) World Championships. The weekend starts with free practice and qualification for each class on the Friday and Saturday, with Sunday being race day.

Le Mans town is close by if you want a break from the circuit and there are some great ride out routes into the surrounding countryside with a chance to ride down some roads famous from their Le Mans 24 hour race heritage – including the Mulsanne straight, Indianapolis and Arnage Corner.
