"Got back from Le
Mans yesterday, that was my fourth. Probably the most enjoyable so
far, in no small part to Speed Chills.
Think it was a
combination of small things that made the difference- Steve &
Paddy being the first taste of the atmosphere-starting the
wind-ups at the gate (latterly known as the tax men) and taking
the time to come back to chat & have more wind ups. Pre allocated
pitches allowing us the have a drive around the area for the first
time.
Decent facilities
with no or only short queues. Food with veggies!! (I think I'm
getting old). Staff that were also interested in the racing, beer,
having a laugh and quick service. Also impressed with the
management asking, and being interested, in what people thought of
the set up.
So thank you for your
help in making this Le Mans less stress & more memorable and would
be grateful if you could pass on my thanks to the staff & look
forward to next year."
"Just a short message
to thank you all for an enjoyable and memorable week end ,
Drink--- I mean car racing.
We all had a great
time despite the barracking we received when we sent up our tent
on the Friday having arrived late. I think from the interest and
laughter we received we were probably the best entertainment act
of the weekend.
We found all at the
site very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere during the
weekend relaxed without any trouble that we noticed.
No complaints really
the toilets were kept relatively clean and the showers were very
good. ( as I wasn't expecting a shower over the weekend) it did
make you feel more comfortable.
Beer Bingo and the
band were very good all the musicians responded to the many
requests and I think Wonder wall was overplayed even though it is
a classic.
The overall
experience was great and well worth another visit.

in the Speed Chills area.. everyone was amazing. I have worked in
hospitality for 12 years now and have to say you guys did an
amazing job.
Very entertaining
staff and a well maintained site.
Me and the guys we
were with were talking when we got back, and thought it would have
been great.. if on the Thursday evening you had arranged to get
everyone from Speed Chills i.e. staff and members into the big
marquee and welcomed everyone.
Also the events you
arranged were cool but we thought some evening entertainment would
have been cool like a poker night.. or perhaps strippers.. lol
JOKE!...
But all in all had an
amazing time.. Hopefully we will see you next year! Hopefully we
will being another crowd of drinkers with us.."

you for giving me and the boys a wicked trip. I know I can speak
for all of us in saying that we all enjoyed it, and all intend on

The security was a
great bonus for us and good facilities.
The banter we had
with the security/tax men was good too."
"I just wanted to let
you know that we all had a great time at Le Mans, a few of us had
gone there a number of times previously but we enjoyed this year
more than ever. The organisation right from your e-mails and
quotes, the ticket presentation through to the camping
arrangements, security and entertainment were all spot on - we
won't be going back to "the old way" for sure.
The only thing
commented on negatively was the cost of food and drink for which
we thought was a bit rich.
I must thank you
personally for your help and close attention, it made my job as
group organiser beautifully simple."
Speed Chills - we aim
to deliver a high quality product at a keen price. Our beer is of
higher quality served elsewhere at the circuit and at a lower
price. We also cook our meals from fresh local ingredients using a
team of UK chefs. To deliver a full meal for 12 euros; in this
environment is nothing short of amazing.

Le Mans this year, we had a fantastic time, thank you all so much
for all your hard work.
We arrived late on
Thursday, your check-in was both speedy and very efficient, just
the job after the drive from Calais!
We were guided to our
pitch by your very friendly staff, Paddy and his mate, who were a
bundle of laughs the whole weekend, in fact it was hard not to
find your staff smiling. Always a pleasure to see.
The food and bar were
brilliant!
We've enjoyed your
hospitality in the past and have been coming back to you for a
couple of years now, but have until this year always camped on
Houx...never again!!
We've been spoiled!!!
Your facilities are
unrivalled, clean and tidy most of the time, with lots of hot
water and I personally never had to queue for a shower. Fantastic.
Thank you to all the
team for a superb job, we all want to come back again next year
and enjoy your hospitality."

(well on Monday but only just got over the weekend) and just
wanted to thank all at Speed Chills for all the hard work that
made my first trip to Le Mans a truly memorable experience, well
done lads n lasses it was awesome!!!
We are already
talking about next year and hope we'll be able to make it even
bigger and better. The Campsite and facilities were great and if
you can just arrange for the weather to be sunny ALL weekend next

"Many thanks to you
all. I was one of the brave souls who camped on your site this
year. Having attended Le Mans many times I can honestly say that
this was by far and above the most relaxing and thus most
enjoyable year ever.
On arrival (after a
long hard drive in a 37 year old car) the reception committee,
Steve and Paddy were excellent and it just got better.
The bar/food/eating
area/entertainment were just right for the event and not once did
I have to queue for a toilet/shower!
Last but not least,
the security was great.

pitch in the corner, the bar made eating and drinking very

campsite or one nearer to the start/finish area.

and reading some of the horror stories and the disappointment some
people felt with their tour operators, we feel we were lucky that
we chose yourselves and not one of the other groups."
"After about 12
visits to le mans the first in 1984 this was the best ever, mainly
due to the staff of Speed Chills.
The campsite was well
organised and all staff very friendly.
All travel
arrangements worked well. As I did not leave from home but from my
partners house the directions to the campsite arrived after I
left, earlier delivery would have been appreciated but we found
the site so all was not that bad!
Please pass on my
thanks to all the on site staff at Le Mans and the people in your

one said that good service should always be rewarded with praise.
Okay no, he didn't.
But I wanted to give some feedback on Camp Creation.
It was my first time
at Le Mans after 11 years of promising.
Upon arrival the team
was very professional and despite the fact that our booking was
made very late, very well organised. Over and above our passes,
Neil had a circuit map and an itinerary ready.
The Speed Chills
staff were all very friendly. Within no time, we were known as the
"crazy Saffers" (South Africans).
I was a bit concerned
about small item theft, but I was impressed at how well Camp
Creation was isolated and how reliably the camp entrance was
manned.
Despite intermittent
rain dampening the surface, the camp was kept in good condition.
Litter wasn't as big a problem as I foresaw due to easy
availability of big plastic refuse bags (unlike the rest of the
circuit & town!).
The bar and
restaurant offered a generous selection of items and the food
quality was top notch! I initially thought the prices were quite
high, but as I left Le Mans for Paris & London, it turned out they
weren't all that bad at all.
The toilet facilities
were really well kept, and the showers were surprisingly
excellent.
I have two
suggestions I'd like to see being taken into consideration.
Firstly, as a Le Mans first-timer, and especially as a foreign Le
Mans first-timer without any transport and 40kg of tenting and
luggage, there wasn't really adequate signage to Camp Creation or
to Beausejour in general. Maybe this needs to be taken up with the
ACO?
It was pretty
much by divine sympathy that I found the camp from the tram
station. On the same topic, pre-departure information could have
probably explained directions better, suggested the tram and the
way in from there. Maybe it was indeed my fault because booking
was very late.
My second suggestion
is that Camp Creation offers some sort of short-distance transport
solutions. Whether it's bicycles or scooters for loan/hire, or to
organise a dedicated members "petit train", it would cut down on
the 35 minute+ walk to the circuit entrance, and also help with
the trip to Arnage or the tram station at Antares.
One small regret I
have is that I wasn't able to watch from Indianapolis simply
because I couldn't get there without missing 3 hours of racing. I
realise over 120,000 of the spectators come from GB with
transport, but overall if signage and public transport had a
better infrastructure, Le Mans would probably see many more
foreigners.
Overall, the
experience was fantastic. I don't need to try out other campsites
to know I'm planning to book for Camp Creation again!"
Speed Chills - great
feedback guys! It was a pleasure to welcome you - just book a
little earlier next year please! Signage is a perennial problem
with the ACO and we pulled in favours from them for the signage we
did have! This is something we need to raise with them again for
2009...and rest assured we will. In terms, of local transport, we
have plans for 2009 so watch this space...

the circuit, it was clean, and had good facilities."
